ProSeCA
Proactive Security Chain for Automotive
an overarching security chain for automotive ECUs addressing challenges of secure integration and maintainability of automated vehicle architectures.
ProSeCA takes a holistic approach to ensure maximum functional and data security for preventing safety security problems at a fundamental level. Since many system architectural definitions for connected autonomous driving are still open, it is crucial to ensure a fundamental safe and secure internal and external communication basis.
The UNECE R155 regulation requires cybersecurity management for new registrations. This is where ProSeCA comes in. Following the guiding principle "A system is only as secure as its weakest link“, ProSeCA aligned with ISO/SAE 21434, aims to create a security concept as a modular and standardizable trusted hardware and software architecture for vehicle control units (ECUs). It includes security building blocks such as hardware-based protection features, the secure programming language Rust, and solutions for automated testing of software components functionality. ProSeCA furthermore demonstrates the feasibility of such new architectures or open OEM implementations.
